I live in Demopolis, Alabama. Most of my 34 years teaching have
been there except for the 2009-10 year where I taught at Meridian
High School. I am a graduate of the University of West Alabama where
I earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education(grades K-8). I am
highly qualified to teach math in grades 5-12. My husband is a coach
at Demopolis High School and I also have two grown daughters and two
grandchildren.
My class goals are to have my students successfully master the
math skills for this year while also developing an appreciation for
math and what it can accomplish in their lives. I hope to get to
know each student individually and do what it takes to assure that
each one reaches his/her utmost potential. Parents should feel free
to contact me at any time.
The class will begin with a bell ringer to review skills.
Homework will be assigned daily and I will check to see that it is
completed. The
math binder is a very important part of this class and should be
kept organized.
There will also be plenty of opportunities for students to
earn grades through homework, quizzes and tests.
