I am married (to Robbie) with three children
(all girls – Inger Marie, Bonnie, and Ansley) and feel they are
my most important responsibility. This carries
over into teaching, however, as the students I teach become my own.
They know at the beginning of the year that I treat them no
differently than I do my own children (which means sometimes they’ll
like me; sometimes they won’t). I believe these
students have tremendous potential and have high expectations.
I have found that people generally perform at the level
expected of them, and I expect great things.
The students in my class work from the time
they enter the classroom until the time they leave.
We have a lot to do in a short amount of time.
My goal is to do everything within my ability to prepare my
students for what lies ahead, not only in education, but also in
life. Our classroom environment encourages
students to be responsible, respectful, and to always do their best.
